Beedal is a platform that allows users to upload, share, and view videos and other content. We are committed to protecting the intellectual property rights of creators, artists, and content owners worldwide.
This Copyright Policy describes how Beedal addresses copyright infringement, how users can report violations, and the consequences of violating this Policy.
You retain ownership of any content you upload to Beedal. However, by uploading content, you grant Beedal a limited license to host, display, and distribute that content on our platform.
Important: You must have the right to upload any content you post. If you do not own the content or have a valid license, you may be violating someone else's copyright.
- You own the original content you create and upload
- You are responsible for ensuring rights to any third-party content in your uploads
- Beedal does not claim ownership of your content
- Licensing terms are further defined in our Terms of Service
You may upload and share content on Beedal if you meet all of the following conditions:
- The content is entirely your own original creation
- You have obtained a valid license or explicit permission from the copyright holder
- The content is in the public domain
- Your use qualifies as fair use under applicable law
- You have properly credited all third-party content as required
The following types of content are strictly prohibited on Beedal:
- Movies, TV shows, or web series you don't have rights to
- Music videos or songs without a license from the label/artist
- Reuploaded content from other creators without permission
- Live sports broadcasts or events
- Software, games, or digital products without authorization
- Books, audiobooks, or written content you don't own
- Content that removes or bypasses copyright protections (DRM)
- Compilation videos made entirely of others' copyrighted content
Beedal complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512, and applicable international copyright laws.
Your DMCA takedown notice MUST include all of the following:
- Identification of the copyrighted work — Title, official URL, registration number
- Identification of the infringing content — Exact URL(s) on Beedal
- Your contact information — Full name, address, phone, email
- Statement of good faith — Belief that use is unauthorized by the copyright owner
- Statement under penalty of perjury — Accuracy of information and authorization to act
- Your physical or electronic signature — Full legal name
Subject: DMCA Takedown Notice — [Content Title]
After filing:
- Review within 24-48 hours
- Valid claims removed within 72 hours
- User notified of takedown
- Repeat infringers terminated
If your content was removed due to a DMCA takedown and you believe it was a mistake, you may file a counter-notice with these elements:
- Identification of removed content and its URL on Beedal
- Good faith statement that removal was a mistake or misidentification
- Your name, address, phone, and consent to federal court jurisdiction
- Your physical or electronic signature
Beedal has a zero-tolerance policy for repeat copyright infringement:
Strikes expire after 6 months with no further violations. Egregious cases may result in immediate termination.
- Each valid DMCA takedown counts as one strike
- Strikes tracked across all associated accounts
- Appeals within 14 days of strike
- Terminated accounts cannot be reactivated
Fair use permits limited use of copyrighted material for criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, or research. Courts evaluate four factors:
- Purpose & character — Transformative or merely copying?
- Nature of the work — Creative or factual?
- Amount used — Small portion or entirety?
- Market effect — Harm to original's market value?
